Houston Rockets All-Star Chris Paul brings his CP3 PBA Celebrity Invitational on January 17th Back to Bowlero The Woodlands
Bowlero The Woodlands, Texas’ leading bowling and entertainment destination, will be hosting Houston Rockets Chris Paul’s 10th annual CP3 PBA Celebrity Invitational presented by Go Bowling! The celebrity bowling tournament will take place on January 17th at Bowlero The Woodlands, in the Houston suburb of Conroe, Texas, and will air on FOX on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 3rd at 2 p.m. ET.
Tournament host and nine-time NBA All-Star, Chris Paul, is hoping to defend his doubles title and win for the fifth time overall in the multi-format event which benefits the Chris Paul Family Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting youth, education, health, sports and social responsibility. Paul and a group of his friends from the world of sports and entertainment will participate along with an all-star lineup of PBA Tour stars.
In addition to Paul, the early list of celebrities anticipated to compete are Houston Rockets power forward PJ Tucker, NASCAR star Aric Almirola, Boston Red Sox All-Star outfielder and World Series champion Mookie Betts and 2018 NFL Hall of Fame inductee Terrell Owens.
PBA Tour bowlers scheduled to compete in the Celebrity Invitational are:
• Andrew Anderson, defending PBA Player of the Year
• Chris Barnes, PBA Hall of Famer
• Jason Belmonte, former PBA Player of the Year and 18-time Tour Winner
• Norm Duke, PBA Hall of Famer and 38-time Tour Winner
• Tommy Jones, former PBA Player of the Year and 18-time Tour winner
• Sean Rash, former PBA Player of the Year and 12-time Tour winner
• EJ Tackett, former PBA Player of the Year and eight-time Tour titlist
• Kyle Troup, PBA star and three-time Tour Winner
• Pete Weber, PBA Hall of Famer and 37-time Tour winner
Additional celebrities will be announced at a later date, and past attendees included NBA stars LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Blake Griffin and Kevin Durant; NFL stars Michael Strahan, Hines Ward, LaMarr Woodley, Reggie Bush, C.J. Anderson; hip-hop stars DJ Khaled, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Lil Wayne, French Montana and Nelly; television personality Chris Hardwick; comedian/motion picture star Kevin Hart; television star Jesse Williams, and U.S. Olympians Allyson Felix and Hope Solo, among others.
Tickets are currently on sale for the FOX taping of the event on January 17th. The Celebrity Invitational begins with a red carpet ceremony at 3 p.m. CT (doors open at 2 p.m.) at Bowlero The Woodlands (27000 I-45 N, Conroe, TX 77385) with the FOX taping of competition beginning at 4 p.m.
