The Petersen Classic Moves to Bowlero Wauwatosa in 2021
Legendary 100-year-old Tournament Rolls on and Relocates to New Bowlero Center
New York, NY – One of the nation’s longest-running, premier bowling events, The Petersen Classic, will return to the lanes in 2021 with a new home, Bowlero Wauwatosa in Wisconsin, for its milestone 100th anniversary year.
The 100-year-old bowling tournament, founded in 1921 by Louis P. Petersen at Archer-35th Recreation in Chicago is a tournament bowler’s destination event, bringing in thousands of bowlers from all over the country year after year. The Midwestern tradition will continue as the event moves to Wauwatosa, just outside of Milwaukee.
The new host center, located at 11737 West Burleigh St., is in a central location for bowlers in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and Chicago.
“Bowlero Wauwatosa is a natural fit to host the Petersen,” said Mike Sledz, Director of League Development at Bowlero Corp. “The center is conveniently located in the heart of the Midwest and has a long history of hosting successful tournaments for both youth and adults. We couldn’t be more excited to see our bowlers get back on the lanes and compete.”
The 2021 Petersen Classic will begin on Friday, April 30 and run through Labor Day weekend.
Bowlers who are interested in signing up early can do so by contacting Trista Kimmes at (651) 399-9339 or [email protected]. Entry fees are $100 per bowler.
